Balthazar’s Ice Shack first opened in the winter of 2018-19, serving fresh home-made soups & chowders, hot dogs, hot chocolate, coffee and soda to the snowmobilers on the Lake Sunapee Snowmobile Club trails at Gunnison Lake in Goshen, NH.

We are also open during the summer months serving ice cream, shaved ice, frappes, floats, artisan sodas, and a rotating selection of fun summer foods like sliders, barbecued quesadillas, chili dogs, and chili bowls.
Troy builds the rock walls at Balthazar’s Ice Shack
Reclaiming an overgrown yard & brook and turning it into a beautiful place to eat and relax was a labor of love for Troy and Karyn.
Troy built rock walls, rock steps, a fire pit and even cleared land for a snowmobile trail that leads out to connect to the trails at Gunnison Lake.
The fire pit will be going on cool evenings
Then they added benches, tables, lights and Tiki torches creating a quiet and cozy area along the brook.
